Outline[]
Events is a mode in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. It is accessed in the Online section of the main menu, and provides the player with simple challenges to complete. There are 50 in total in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The events were released in batches after the game's release. Events did not return for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Requirements[]
The event's requirements are varied, some are relatively short and simple, such as win a single online battle, or complete arcade mode without being able to block. However others are far more creative and challenging, such as having to complete arcade mode with only facing M.O.D.O.Ks for it's entirety.
Roughly half of the events have to be completed in arcade mode, with various attributes reduced or changed to make it more challenging and interesting for the player. To make it slightly fairer for the player however, said effects are turned off for the final battle with Galactus in the majority of the cases. If the effects are withdrawn for the final battle, the event description will say so.
The other half must be completed online, with no preference given for Ranked match or Player match. The online events are very much concerned with getting a certain amount of victories, such as completing 10 matches with female characters, as opposed to the ability hindering nature of the aracde events.
Reward[]
Upon completion of an event, the player is awarded with a pre-set amount of Player Points, and a title to use online.
