Galactus Mode is a playable mode in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, where Galactus is a playable character. It is unlocked by accumulating 30,000 Player Points, or having a save data of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds on their console. It was released on a free update that also included Heroes and Heralds Mode.

[1] Prior to the implementation of Galactus Mode, hacks involving altering game save states allowed for a quick-save roster to pick Galactus as a normal fighter with two other characters. This resulted in lopsided online matches resulting in matches with Galactus as a character and not a boss, while retaining all his moves. The save state glitch also revealed that the character has voice samples for tagging themselves in and out, which is a feature that is normally not possible. The reason why voiced samples were recorded for such unused feature is unknown.
