- The B.O.W.s bear a striking resemblance to the symbiote soldier Phage, from the comic book run Carnage U.S.A. Both have an orange and black upper body appearance with an absence of a mouth, and the lower body covered in tactical gear. Conceptually, the idea of symbiote-infused soldiers with firearms was inspired by Agent Venom, and expanded into other teams such as the Mercury Team and Mars Team
