Tatsumaki Zankukyaku[]

The Hurricane Scythe Kick (竜巻斬空波脚, Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku, lit. "Tornado Slashing Air Leg") is Akuma's version of the Hurricane Kick. Though his movement is similar to Ryu and Ken, in some games lightning may be created by his feet during his Tatsumaki. Like most of his techniques, they are much stronger and faster than the Ryu and Ken's. It can hit muiltiple times, and is considerably faster and harder to control than Ryu and Ken's. It can combo well into his other moves, and it can be used in the air. The traits of the move itself are a mix of Ryu and Ken's; it has the power of Ryu's and the multi-hitting property of Ken's.

It's often common used in a typical link in most games where Akuma/Gouki links into a Gou Shouryuuken right after a Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku, but its often more effective if the opponent is juggled high enough and sometimes in the corner.

In MVC3, a midair Zankuukyaku no longer knocks down a grounded opponent.

Messatsu Gou Rasen[]

The Messatsu Gou Rasen (滅殺豪螺旋, lit. Annihilating Great Spiral) and its aerial variant, the Messatsu Gou Senpuu (滅殺豪旋風, lit. Annihilating Great Whirlwind) are Akuma's stronger versions of the Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku, first appearing in Street Fighter III. They are also stronger variants of the Tatsumaki Gou Rasen (竜巻豪螺旋, lit. Tornado Great Spiral) used by his brother Gouken in Street Fighter IV. The user rises into the air with a veritcal vacuuming-on-hit Tatsumaki that does multiple hits, then ends with a final kick to finish the attack. The Gou Senpuu tends to have the use float a bit first before rising into the air as usual, making it do more hits.

In MVC2, only the Gou Rasen appears out of the two, and like the Zankuukyaku, it sports lightning effects. This acts as Akuma's Expansion Assist, though its anti-air nature makes it as subpar as the Messatsu Gou Shouryuu being a bit poor towards being a good anti-air super.

Hurricane Kick Booster[]

Hurricane Kick Booster is Cyber-Akuma's version of the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku. A version of the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku but, like the other attacks, going faster and with electricity, wich causes hitstun.
