In Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, each character in the game has a total of six alternate costumes. The costumes are merely aesthetic and serve no purpose in gameplay. The first five costumes are simple texture and palette changes and are unlocked from the start. The sixth costume is a new model with no color variation and is purchased as a downloadable content. Some of the costumes were previously from Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Akuma[]

Akuma's first alternate costume is a purple gi with black beads, brown sash, gray skin and orange hair. It is an original costume created for Ultimate.

His second alternate costume is a dark purple gi with brown beads, black sash, onyx skin and bright white hair. It is based on Akuma's fully-consumed Shin form, Oni.

His third alternate costume is a dark green gi with black beads, red sash and blond hair. It is an original palette loosely based on previous Akuma colors, including Street Fighter Alpha 3 (X-ism P color, green gi) and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (A1 color, blond hair).

His fourth alternate costume is a dark red full costume with dark purple hair, lighter skin. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate, Akuma's inverted color palette.

His fifth alternate costume is a vibrant purple gi, tan skin and fiery red hair with gray streaks. It is a hybrid palette based on his appearance in the Street Fighter III series (mainly hair) and Shin Akuma's debut appearance in Street Fighter Alpha 2 (gi, sandals and gloves).

Akuma's downloadable costume is based on Cyber-Akuma from Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. It is included in the "New Age of Heroes Costume Pack".

Amaterasu[]

Amaterasu's first alternate costume has dark gray fur with white underbelly and face. It is based on Canine Warrior Take from Ōkami.

Her second alternate costume has dark brown fur with light brown underbelly and facial markings. It is based on Canine Warrior Hayabusa from Ōkami.

Her third alternate costume has pink fur with light pink underbelly and face, flower mark on hind legs. It is based on Canine Warrior Ume from Ōkami.

Her fourth alternate costume has dark green fur. It is based on the statue found in Kamiki Village from Ōkami.

Her fifth alternate costume has brownish yellow fur with white face and underbelly. It is based on the Shiba Inu breed of dogs.

Amaterasu's downloadable costume is based on Jon Talbain from Darsktalkers. It is included in the "Animal Costume Pack".

Arthur[]

Arthur's first alternate costume is a blue armor with gold visor, blue and white striped underwear. It is based on the Warrior Armor from Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins.

His second alternate costume is a gold armor, yellow underwear with black stars. It is based on the Golden Armor in Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

His third alternate costume is a green armor, green underwear with white polka dots. It is based on the Bronze Armor from Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

His fourth alternate costume is a dark blue armor with gray hair and beard, blue underwear with white polka dots. It is an original color palette created for Ultimate.

His fifth alternate costume is a pink-tinted armor, pink underwear with white hearts. It is an original color palette created for Ultimate.

Arthur's downloadable costume is a zombie Arthur, with Cursed Armor Hyper Combo and Skeleton Arthur when armor breaks, the latter two from Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins. It is included in the "Ancient Warrior Costume Pack".

Captain America[]

Captain America's first alternate costume is light blue with classic shield design. It is based on his debut costume from Captain America Comics Vol 1 #1.

His second alternate costume is pale blue with dark gray accesories, no head wings and a star on his forehead. It is based on an alternate Captain America from Age of X.

His third alternate costume is red and gray with painted head wings, yellow face and ears, and green eyes. It is based on his space suit from The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series.

His fourth alternate costume is a blue costume with no scale texture, with black sleeves and bottoms. It is based on Bucky Barnes' costume as Captain America.

His fifth alternate costume is black and white with a white/red abdomen, skull chest logo, star on shoulders, and no head wings. It is based on the Punisher's Captain America costume from Punisher War Journal Vol 2 #7, with U.S. Agent's shield.

Captain America's downloadable costume is based on his appearance in Steve Rogers: Super Soldier Vol 1 #1, with his original shield. It is included in the "Costume Pack 01".

Chris[]

Chris' first alternate costume has a blue shirt and shoes with light gray pants and black knee pads. It is his "Veteran" costume, loosely similar to Jill's S.T.A.R.S. uniform and Leon's Raccoon City police uniform.

His second alternate costume has a white shirt with dark blue pants, blond hair and tan skin. It is based on Cody from Final Fight.

His third alternate costume has a black shirt with white pants, white hair and pale skin. It is based on Chris' Safari Costume from Resident Evil 5.

His fourth alternate costume has an all-black uniform. It is based on the black suit Chris uses during the first video in the Resident Evil 5 viral campaign.

His fifth alternate costume has a yellow shirt and blue pants with black and yellow shoes, blond hair. It is based on Chuck Greene from Dead Rising 2.

Chris' downloadable costume is his S.T.A.R.S. uniform from Resident Evil. It is included in the "Costume Pack 01".

Chun-Li[]

Chun-Li's first alternate costume is a red qipao with black hair. It is based on her original 2P color from the Street Fighter II series.

Her second alternate costume is a black qipao with red accents, black boots and pantyhose. It is based on her Color 10 from Street Fighter IV.

Her third alternate costume is a baby blue qipao and boots with white pantyhose. It is based on her Start+MK color from Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

Her fourth alternate costume is a all-pink costume. It is based on her S color from Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix.

Her fifth alternate costume is her default colors with a heavy shadow effect. It is based on Shadow Lady from Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

Chun-Li's downloadable costume is based on her design from the Street Fighter Alpha series. It is included in the "Femme Fatale Costume Pack".

Crimson Viper[]

Crimson Viper's first alternate costume Black top with white pants, black gloves and yellow tie, brown hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate, but Capcom aknowledged fans noting it coincidentally resembles the color scheme of El Fuerte from Street Fighter IV.

Her second alternate costume is a yellow and black top with yellow pants, black gloves and red tie, blond hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate, but Capcom aknowledged fans noting it coincidentally resembles the color scheme of Rufus from Street Fighter IV.

Her third alternate costume is a white and blue top with white pants, white gloves and tie, black hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate, but Capcom aknowledged fans noting it coincidentally resembles the color scheme of Abel from Street Fighter IV.

Her fourth alternate costume is a purple and black top with purple pants, black gloves and yellow tie, blond hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her fifth alternate costume is a red and black top with blue pants, brown gloves and black tie, auburn hair. It is based on the costume of Claire Redfield from Resident Evil.

Crimson Viper's downloadable costume is an original "Secret Agent" costume by Tatsuya Yoshikawa, designed for Ultimate. It is included in the "Villain Costume Pack".

Dante[]

Dante's first alternate costume has a black coat and pants, blond hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His second alternate costume has a white coat and blue pants, light blue hair and red eyes. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His third alternate costume has a dark green coat and gray camouflage pants, beige hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His fourth alternate costume has a orange coat with black pants and boots, pale green hair. It is based on the Frightful Four uniform.

Deadpool[]

Deadpool's first alternate costume is yellow and black with a red mask, "x-men" written on front, "deadpool" written on the back. It is based on his X-Men costume from Deadpool Vol 2 #17.

His second alternate costume is olive green and black. It is based on an alternate "Deadpool" known as Deathwish.

His third alternate costume is yellow and blue with red/blue "X" on chest and yellow right pouches. It is based on an alternate Deadpool from Weapon X: Days of Future Now Vol 1.

His fourth alternate costume is black and red with silver pouches. It is based on his Weapon X costume.

His fifth alternate costume is gray and black, with red "X" belt buckle, and red eyes. It is based on his X-Force costume.

Deadpool's downloadable costume is based on his "Cablepool" Cable-inspired costume from Deadpool & Cable Vol 1 #26. It is included in the "Evil Twin Costume Pack". When using this costume, Deadpool will have an unique introduction dialogue stating the player "thought Cable wasn't in the game".

Doctor Doom[]

Doctor Doom's first alternate costume is a light blue tunic with white cape. It is based on his Future Foundation costume.

His second alternate costume is a dark green tunic with dark red cape. It is based on Doctor Doom wearing the Hood's costume, from Dark Reign: The Cabal Vol 1 #1.

His third alternate costume is a black tunic and cape, both with wrinkled textures. It is based on an alternate Doctor Doom from Old Man Logan.

His fourth alternate costume is a black tunic and red cloak with black armor, red glowing eyes. It is based on the costume of an alternate Doctor Doom known as Dr. Doom 2099.

His fifth alternate costume is an orange tunic and cape with black ovals over eyes. It is based on an alternate "Doctor Doom" known as Death Mask.

Doctor Doom's downloadable costume is based on the Doomwar storyline. It is included in the "New Age of Heroes Costume Pack".

Doctor Strange[]

Doctor Strange's first alternate costume is a light blue tunic with light yellow gloves and belt. It is based on his debut costume from Strange Tales Vol 1.

His second alternate costume is a red tunic with white belt, beige gloves, and yellow chest logo. It is based on his costume during the 1990s, featured in Marvel Super Heroes In War of the Gems.

His third alternate costume is a gray and red tunic with silver chest logo and gray leggings. It is based on image found on the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z.

His fourth alternate costume is a black tunic with red chest logo, black cape, beige gloves and blue belt. It is based on his look from the animated film Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme.

His fifth alternate costume is a pale blue tunic with gray cape and pendant, and no chest logo. It is based on an alternate Doctor Strange from Marvel 1602.

Doctor Strange's downloadable costume is based on his appearance in Dr. Strange Vol 1 #177. It is included in the "Viewtiful Strange Costume Pack".

Dormammu[]

Dormammu's first alternate costume is a green armor with yellow core, and a blue flaming head. It is based on his appearance in Strange Tales Vol 1 #126.

His second alternate costume is a light green armor with orange core, purple flaming head. It is based on his appearance in Strange Tales Vol 1 #146.

His third alternate costume is a red armor and core with gold belt. It is based on his appearance in Captain America/Nick Fury: The Otherworld War #1.

His fourth alternate costume is a blue armor and core with red belt, gloves and cape. It is based on his appearance in New Exiles Annual #1.

His fifth alternate costume is a blue and purple armor with purple core, blue flaming head. Scheme based on the Dread Rorkannu from Nextwave.

Dormammu's downloadable costume is based on his 1990s costume. It is included in the "Viewtiful Strange Costume Pack".

Felicia[]

Felicia's first alternate costume has blond hair and gray claws, tan skin. It is based on her K color from Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix.

Her second alternate costume has pink hair and white claws, faded skin and black fur. It is based on her KKK color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Her third alternate costume has black hair and gray claws, red fur. It is based on her SK color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, except her hair color was changed from white to black.

Her fourth alternate costume has orange hair, lighter skin. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her fifth alternate costume has pink hair with purple nails, heavy tanned skin. It is based on her MP color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Felicia's downloadable costume is based on Yellow Iris from the beat 'em up game Battle Circuit. It is included in the "Animal Costume Pack".

Firebrand[]

Firebrand's first alternate costume has blue skin with yellow wings, gold wristbands and red eyes. It is based on the Capcom logo.

His second alternate costume has yellow skin with gray wings, silver wristbands and red eyes. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His third alternate costume has onyx skin with red wings, gold wristbands and blue eyes. It based on Blackheart.

His fourth alternate costume has stone gray body and wristbands, white eyes. It is based on the stone gargoyle colors.

His fifth alternate costume has green skin with purple wings, nails and wristbands, white eyes. It is based on the costume of the Green Goblin, and is reminiscent of the cover art for Gargoyle's Quest.

Firebrand's downloadable costume is based on the Red Arremer King from Ghouls 'n Ghosts. It is included in the "Ancient Warrior Costume Pack".

Frank West[]

Frank West's first alternate costume has a dark purple jacket with black shirt and gray pants, purple-skinned zombies. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His second alternate costume has a white jacket and pants with red shirt, tan-skinned zombies. It is based on his 3rd color from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

Ghost Rider's first alternate costume is a blue jacket, gloves and boots with green jeans and wristbands. It is based on Daniel Ketch's costume as the Ghost Rider in the 1990s.

His second alternate costume is a light blue jacket with black sleeves and "4" logo, light blue accessories with black jeans. It is based on his New Fantastic Four costume from Mini Marvels.

His third alternate costume is an all-red costume. It is based on the costume of Ultimate Marvel's Ghost Rider.

His fourth alternate costume is a blue jacket with red jeans and yellow accessories. It is based on Noble Kale's costume, the spirit bonded to Daniel Ketch.

His fifth alternate costume is a white jacket and jeans with black accessories. It is based on the Phantom Rider's costume, Ghost Rider's 1967 debut appearance.

Ghost Rider's downloadable costume is based on Kenshiro Cochrane's costume as the Ghost Rider. It is included in the "Rising Dead Costume Pack".

Haggar[]

His third alternate costume is a black uniform with red trim on tunic. It is based on the costume of Ultimate Marvel's Hawkeye.

Hsien-Ko[]

Hsien-Ko's first alternate costume is a red and black qipao with darker purple sleeves and pants, white skin and black hair, dark red charm. It is based on her KKK color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Her second alternate costume is a yellow and blue qipao with lighter purple sleeves and pants, darker yellow charm. It is based on her MP color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Her third alternate costume is a black and blue qipao with white skin, red cheeks and hat. It is based on the main antagonist from the 1985 comedy horror film Mr. Vampire.

Her fourth alternate costume is a bright green and yellow qipao with vibrant purple sleeves and pants. It is based on her SK color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Her fifth alternate costume is a dark red and black qipao with darker purple sleeves and pants, vibrant red charm. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

His fourth alternate costume has olive green skin with faded purple pants, and orange veins on body. It is based on an alternate Hulk from Age of X.

His fifth alternate costume has blue skin with white pants. It is based on his appearance when he wielded the cosmic powers of Captain Universe.

The Hulk's downloadable costume is based on his attire in the Planet Hulk event. It is included in the "Ancient Warrior Costume Pack".

Iron Fist[]

Iron Fist's first alternate costume is a white jumpsuit. It is based on his early costume designs in 2011.

His second alternate costume is a red jumpsuit. It is based on the H'ylthri Iron Fist clone from Power Man and Iron Fist.

His third alternate costume is a blue jumpsuit with light blue collar, green sash and mask, and snake tattoo. It is based on the Steel Serpent's debut appearance.

His fourth alternate costume is a purple jumpsuit with yellow collar, yellow sash and purple mask, and snake tattoo. It is based on the Steel Serpent's return in Iron Fist Vol 2.

His fifth alternate costume is a green and black jumpsuit, gray sash and green mask, and dark skin. It is based on Power Fist's costume from New Exiles.

Iron Fist's downloadable costume is based on the costume of Ultimate Marvel's Iron Fist. It is included in the "Brawler Costume Pack".

Iron Man[]

Iron Man's first alternate costume is a silver armor with yellow core. It is based on the Iron Man Armor Model 1 Mk-I from Tales of Suspense.

His second alternate costume is a red and silver armor. It is based on the Iron Man Armor Model 8, aka "Silver Centurion".

His third alternate costume is a blue armor with red core. Iron Man Armor Model 7, aka "Stealth Armor".

His fourth alternate costume is a gold armor. Iron Man Armor Model 1 Mk-III, aka "Golden Avenger".

His fifth alternate costume is a gray and yellow armor. It is based on the Evil Iron Man enemy from the video game Marvel Super Heroes In War of the Gems.

Iron Man's downloadable costume is based on Norman Osborn's Iron Patriot Armor. It is included in the "Costume Pack 01".

Jill[]

Jill Valentine's first alternate costume is a red and black jumpsuit, blond hair. It is based on Saki.

Her second alternate costume is a black, blue and silver jumpsuit with white hair. It is based on Vanessa's Intera Suit from P.N.03.

Her third alternate costume is a green, brown and purple jumpsuit with darker skin. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her fourth alternate costume is a pink and red jumpsuit with purple hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her fifth alternate costume is a white and black jumpsuit with brunette hair. It is based on Vanessa's default suit from P.N.03.

Jill's downloadable costume is based on her default attire from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It is included in the "Jill Valentine Character Pack".

Magneto[]

Magneto's first alternate costume is a black suit with purple accents. It is based on his appearance on the Eve of Destruction event.

His second alternate costume is an all-white suit. It is based on an alternate Magneto from Age of X.

His third alternate costume is a black suit with red accents. It is based on the costume of Ultimate Marvel's Magneto.

His fourth alternate costume is a purple suit with red accents and "X" logo on belt, inverse of default color. It is based on an alternate Magneto from Mutant X.

His fifth alternate costume is a cyan suit with black accents, red cape. It is based on a modded costume in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, made popular by the "mahvel baybee!" video.

Magneto's downloadable costume is based on an alternate Magneto's costume from House of M. It was planned to be included in the "Ancient Warriors Pack", but was removed due to its controversial resemblance to a suit worn by Juan Carlos I of Spain. Despite this, the costume is still within the game's code and can be fully accessed via fan mods on the PC version.

M.O.D.O.K.[]

M.O.D.O.K.'s first alternate costume is a silver chair with faded purple arms and legs. It is based on his debut costume from Tales of Suspense #93.

His second alternate costume is a yellow chair with red eyes and gray skin. It is based on the cover art of Super Villain Team-Up MODOK's 11 #1.

His third alternate costume is a blue and purple chair with brunette hair. It is based on his appearance in What if? #37.

His fourth alternate costume is a yellow chair with red arms and legs, white forehead gem, lipstick and black eye make-up. It is based on M.O.D.A.M..

His fifth alternate costume is a purple chair with green arms and legs, tanned skin, dark brunette hair and orange eyes with purple around them. It is based on M.O.D.O.T..

M.O.D.O.K.'s downloadable outfit is based on his Elvis-themed costume (nickname M.E.M.P.H.I.S.) from Nextwave #11. It is included in the "Villain Costume Pack".

Morrigan[]

Morrigan's first alternate costume is black leather with orange sleeves and leggings, blond hair. It is based on her debut 2P color from Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors.

Her second alternate costume is a red and green costume with light blue hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her third alternate costume is pink leather with light pink sleeves and leggings, dark purple hair. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Her fourth alternate costume is white leather with purple sleeves and brown leggings, white and purple head wings and light gray hair. It is based on her KKK color from Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire.

Her fifth alternate costume is red leather with blue sleeves and leggings, red and green head wings, red eyes and pink hair. It is based on the attire of Lilith.

Morrigan's downloadable costume is based on her "Casual Friday" costume that she changes into in her victory poses. It is included in the "Femme Fatale Costume Pack".

Nemesis[]

Nemesis' first alternate costume has dark brown skin with blood red outfit and rocket launcher. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Its second alternate costume has dark green skin and outfit with black rocket launcher. It is based on Man-Thing.

Its third alternate costume has light blue skin with dark blue outfit and rocket launcher. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate, slightly reminiscent of zombie cops in the Resident Evil series.

Its fourth alternate costume has faint pink skin and outfit with dark violet-red rocket launcher. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate. This outfit strongly resembles the Licker enemies from Resident Evil 2 (1998).

Its fifth alternate costume has pure white skin and outfit with black rocket launcher. It is an original color scheme created for Ultimate.

Nemesis' downloadable costume is based on its second form in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It is included in the "Rising Dead Costume Pack".

Nova[]

Nova's first alternate costume is a red suit with yellow accessories and helmet. It is based on his costume in The New Warriors.

His second alternate costume is a brown suit with bronze accessories and helmet. It is based on his costume on the cover of The New Warriors #5, slightly modified by Capcom.

His third alternate costume is a black suit with yellow accessories and helmet. It is based on a picture of Nova from Marvel Knights: 2001 Millenial Visions.

His fourth alternate costume is a blue suit with red sleeves and yellow accessories and helmet, red leg guards. It is based on his costume as Quasar.

His fifth alternate costume is a blue suit with silver accessories and helmet, red arm and leg guards. It is based on an alternate Nova, aka "Nova 0:0".

Nova's downloadable costume is based on Sam Alexander's suit from the Ultimate Spider-Man. It is included in the "Viewtiful Strange Costume Pack".

Phoenix[]

Phoenix's first alternate costume is a white suit with yellow sash, gloves and boots. Dark Phoenix has an all-black suit. It is based on the White Phoenix in Phoenix: Endsong.

Her second alternate costumes is an all-black suit with gray sash, yellow "X" logo on chest. Dark Phoenix has a red suit with yellow logo. It is based on her costume as a member of the New X-Men.

Her third alternate costume is a blue suit with yellow sash, gloves, boots and neck. Dark Phoenix has an orange and yellow suit, with black logo. It is based on her costume in X-Men Forever Vol 2.
