These Downloadable Contents are only available in (Ultimate) Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Any DLC character and costume bases from original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can be transferred into the game's Ultimate update. The DLCs were removed from the game store in the end of 2014. Later, the DLCs, except Magneto's costume are all available in remaster by default.

10 Shadow Battle Mode were available in original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from March 1, 2011 until June 2011. The Mode allowed the players to take on AI opponents based on the developers of Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Characters

Each characters were originally start out to be downloadable after pre-ordering Special Edition. Later, made available to purchase in March 15, 2011 for $5.00 on PSN and 400 MSP on Xbox Live. If the player already purchases the previous game version, they will get the characters free in Ultimate Update.

Costumes

Each individual costume packs were mostly available for $4.00 on PSN and 320 MSP on Xbox Live. With the exception of Ancient Warrior Pack which is $1.99 on PSN and 160 MSP due to controversial on Magneto's alternate costume, while Jill and Shuma-Gorath's alternate costumes comes with purchasing both Jill and Shuma-Gorath.

The first Costume Pack from original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 were originally $5.00 on PSN and 400 MSP on Xbox Live prior Ultimate update. If purchasing this costume pack in previous game version, the player will get them in Ultimate version for free.

With all final downloadable costumes except Magneto's alternate costume are released, the costume bundle cost $20.00 on PSN and 1600 MSP on Xbox Live.
